You plug your car in at night, expect it to charge while you sleep, and then find that the electricity has tripped.
You reset it.
It happens again.

Does it trip as soon as charging starts?
Does it happen after 30 minutes?
Does it only happen when other appliances are being used?
Does the charger work with another vehicle?
Has anything changed in the property recently?
These questions can sometimes tell us more than simply knowing that “the charger keeps tripping”.
And that’s why a proper inspection is important.
An EV charger is a significant electrical load in a home. If its protective equipment is operating repeatedly, the safest approach is to find out why.
